missing rockbox.mi4 and rockbox.h10

i just got my h10, and followed all the steps, but it still says im missing rockbox.mi4 and rockbox.h10. please help

Have you checked on your device for rockbox.mi4?

Well then you didn't follow all the steps exactly as written in the manual. Which instructions did you follow, and what exactly did you do?

ok, i downloaded .rockbox and h10_20GC.mi4 then renamed the existing h10_20gc.mi4 to OF.mi4 then i put h10_gc.mi4 into the system folder, and put .rockbox into the E:/ folder

Where did you download .rockbox from? We only provide .zip files. Please follow the official instructions.

yeah i did, i extracted rockboxh10.zip or whatever its called, and put .rockbox into the main directory of my h10. like it says in the manual

What file, *exactly* did you download, and from what page. You need to be clearer about what exactly you did, or I'll be unable to help you. Did you download from the current build page? If so, there should be a rockbox.mi4 file in the .rockbox folder. Check the most current official .zip.

do you think i should just redownload rockbox? i got it off the daily build page. i dont really want to re-download. my net is slow

Well, the manual doesn't tell you to download the daily build. It suggests you download the current build.

Open up the .zip you already have, and check in the .rockbox folder.

Well, if there's no rockbox.mi4 in your /.rockbox folder, somehow something went wrong, so yes, the only way for you to get it is for you to download it.

ok it works now. just a note to anyone having the same problem (there  are lots, i looked through previous posts) just re download rockbox.
