Can't play MP3:s on my nano

PLEASE use a revision number, rather than saying "today's build."  Rockbox builds change many times over the course of a day.  For example, as I write this, there have already been 9 source code changes today, which means that there have been nine builds available.  I explained how to find the revision number in the second post in this thread.

Hi!
I have installed Rockbox today for the first time and have the same problem with my Nano.

f.e.: "Data abort at 01F02E9C" when I want to play a MP3 file

My build is r14230-070807

I use iPL Loader 2.4 and have also installed iPodLinux - don't know if this info is important.

---------

I have also got another problem with my iPod, I copied some music folders onto it and when I want to initalize a database it counts up to about 800 files although i copied only 264 files. It doesn't stop accordingly (at least I think so) because I have to press Start/Pause to end the process. When I reboot afterwards I sometimes get stuck in the Rockbox screen and if I delete the database file ony my iPod I can start Rockbox again normally, but of course there is no database anywhere. Sometimes, though, I get to the menu without being stuck.

The first time I tried to initialize a database ever I came to the commiting screen after initialization / rebooting and there was a "Panic! ... error" (I don't know the exact output). and afterwards there were some undeletable database files on my iPod.

P.S.: While writing I tested initializing a database once again and it counted to 9xx and said "Reboot now". I rebooted and it commited 8/8 databases but if i select database in the menu it says again that the database isn't ready.

We do not provide support for Loader 2.  Please try with the official bootloader and see if you can replicate your problem.

OK, thanks for your reply.

I have now reinstalled Rockbox with the Rockbox Bootloader and have the same problem(s).
"Data abort at ...".
I tried it a couple of times now and I just got into the player screen (i normally get only the error msg), but the music doesn't play.
I have to reboot when I try to play a song, the player doesn't react any more.

using ver. r14231-070807 now

edit: Sometimes I get the error "Undefined Instruction at .." (It appears to be for some specific songs only)

Please try the daily build from 26 July to see if your problem is the same as the one experienced by those who posted earlier in the thread:
