Music skips, or jumps to same track, or different track before song finishes

Hi,
i read a lot of similar posts, but can't seem to find one that fits my problem.
I have an Iriver H320, plugged in to mains, running Bootloader Version 5 and CVS-61008
the device is a 20gb hard drive and it's only got about 18mb free space. However it is not fragmented at all (according to Diskeeper pro)

All my music is in foldlers organised by artist\album
I will typically play an artist at a time (selectign the artist folder then clicking > to browse inside then clicking Nav to play .

What happens is i will be playing the first track and before it finishes it will start the next track, the display will show the correct name of the track but the timer will often dispaly 0:52/3:17 even though it's really playing the very start of the song. It will then play this song all the way through, or about half way through, start the song again and play all the way through, or jump back and play the previous song, sometimes all the way through and sometimes getting stuck in a loop.

Any ideas?

Your build is outdated.  Try updating to a current build.

hmmm as soon as i posted this, it started working again.
I will update the build anyway.

I think i need to read the manual :0)
