This must have been discussed before but I cannot find the topic or any information about it on the Rockbox website. I have an Intel Macbook and 30GB ipod (5.5G I believe).

I don't see you listing a specific installation problem. Have you seen the manual?

There are Mac instructions in the Manual.

ok, well it's kind of complicated and since they'll soon be a PC in my house, I'll just wait a bit. thx anyway!

The instructions don't get any less "complicated" for a PC - you just use the same tools compiled for a different platform.

If it's too much for you, you could try the graphical installer :

There are versions for both Mac and Windows.
