plugins not working on 5.5 gen 30gb video

on every plugin i try to run, and error
"incompatible version" appears
i am using the latest standard build
and i have tried re-instialling rockbox, but nothing is working

How are you installing Rockbox?

extracting to the root of the drive,
i dont use the bootloader becuase i have the loader2

I will start with the assumption (bet you $1) you have both a rockbox.ipod file and a .rockbox folder in the root of your drive.  Here lies your problem.

A few months ago (bet you another $1 you haven't upgraded in a few months) Rockbox stopped placing the rockbox.ipod file in the root of your player, and instead started placing it in the .rockbox folder.  I'm willing to bet a third dollar you have extracted the .zip file perfectly fine, only problem being that  the rockbox.ipod file in your root directory didn't get overwritten because that's not where we put it anymore.  Since your IPL loader is still looking in the root directory, it is booting the old rockbox.ipod, and all your newly extracted plugins are (being newly extracted) the wrong version for the loaded rockbox.ipod.

Start by deleting rockbox.ipod from the root of your player, and if this doesn't fix the problem you need to talk to the IPL boys because it is now their bootloader's problem (by not looking in the right place for the rockbox.ipod file.)

Actually it's only $1.

Actually, no.  Soap made the bet, I didn't.  He owes me $2, but Soap owes him $1.

Soap merely said to make the check payable to Scorche, I assumed that was for the cumulative value of the bets. This teaches me not to make assumptions.
