jBlackGlass audio controls not displaying on iPod video 80 GB.

(1/1)

Rice_King:
I am trying to use the jBlackGlass theme on my 80 GB Video iPod.  I cannot get the bottom control panel (the PLAY, FWD, REV buttons) to show in the display window.  My music plays and everything else seems to work.

The last thing I tried was to load the most recent of evilg's custom build along with the fixed versions of PJ's themes.  This did not work either.

For the last two days I have been all over these forums try to nail down this issue, hitting "404" webpages, downloading files that I discovered later were old versions, and various other dead ends along the way.

Can someone give me a step-by-step procedure to make this work?  What am I missing here?

EDIT: Corrected bad link.

Please read the rules for posting in this forum, which are in the sticky thread at the top of the forum.  The only new threads permitted in the Unsupported Builds forum are threads announcing an unsupported build.  If you have questions about a specific unsupported build, ask it in the thread relating to that build.  If your question is strictly a WPS question, you can ask it in the WPS and Customization forum.

Rather than closing this thread,  I'm going to move it from the Unsupported Builds forum to the WPS forum.

Now, on to your actual issue:

I don't usually use unsupported builds, but I just did the following:

1.  Downloaded the EvilGFusion build (the first one on the page you listed above).
2.  Downloaded the jBlackGlass theme set.  Note: the link in your post is bad.
3.  Extracted the contents of both .zip files to the root of my iPod.
4.  Selected the jBlackGlass theme.  (I tried 1, 2 and 9).

They work fine for me.

Note that the bottom bar only displays on the While-Playing-Screen.  It does not appear when you are in the menu system.

Thanks for the break on my post and the prompt answer.  Whatever problem I had was resolved by a complete deletion of old files and replacement of the new ones downloaded from the sources we previously covered.  The issue is resolved.

Your help is appreciated.
