Gapless playback on 5.5G iPod

Is it possible to achieve this without having to go and encode all my mp3s again? If so, how?

Only LAME-encoded MP3s can be played back gaplessly.  MP3 is not an inherently gapless format.   MP3s encoded using any modern version of LAME contain information in the header that allows Rockbox to play those files gaplessly.

If I have a few albums that weren't encoded using LAME, could I use cuesheets to solve this gapless problem?
