iPod Photo reboots instantly after "Shutting down"
fionnghall:
Hello,
My iPod reboots itself after shutting down ( By holding down the play key for a few seconds, or just leaving it idle for a while).
It doesn't shut down properly until the battery has ran out.
Anyone who knows how to fix this?
scorche:
Are you releasing the play button as soon as the "shutting down..." screen comes up? As well, are you using the latest official build?
fionnghall:
I'm using version: r13987-070725
Are you releasing the play button as soon as the "shutting down..." screen comes up?
Yes
nappleapple:
I also have this problem, however, it's only apparent when I have it plugged in and charging. I'm running r14031-070727
But for some reason, if I turn it off [says shutting down, then the screen turns off] and I'll turn it back on a few hours later and it'll tell me the battery is almost dead. Then it bricks for a little while and the next time I turn it on, it comes back showing nearly full battery. It's confusing [read: annoying] me.

I have been seeing a similar problem with my ipod nano.
It dose turn off OK when I shut it down, but as I keep the hold switch on to stop if from turning on by accident in my bag.
It then randomly seems to boots into apple's OS then goes into power saving mode, so when I turn it back on I get have to reboot into rockbox.
