crossfade setting

(1/1)

psycho_maniac:
hey i was wondering if the discussion of having a setting for crossfade to only be something like "crossfade only when you dont skip songs" i dont mind crossfade but only when im listening to music in a row.

bascule:
That seems contradictory to me. Why would you want to crossfade every song, but suddenly (harshly) start one on a skip?

I use the opposite setting, crossfade only on skip and that's perfect for me.

You could always just put it on Flyspray as a request and see what happens...

Job Van Dam:
Also could you request as well if the next track length is shorter than the crossfade duration the next track won't crossfade but play when the current song is complete. Does that make sense? Thank you.

evilnick:
Bascule - I've been after psycho_maniac's requested crossfade behaviour and here's why:
say you're playing a playlist of all songs on shuffle and want crossfade on, and then a song you don't like starts so you want to skip it and also want the immediate feedback of the "harsh cut" so that you know the button press was picked up correctly.

There is already and option under "Enable Crossfade". Just select "Shuffle" and not "Shuffle and Track Skip". However, you won't have Crossfade if shuffle is not on, which is perfect for albums.
