when i go to play doom it says missig base WAD

.... You realize that now this question has nothing to do with Rockbox installation, right?

If this whole shing-ding was about Doom, then you should've said so in the first place and posted in the "Plugins" topic.

1.  I've moved your thread to the correct forum.

2.  I've renamed the thread with a descriptive title as required by our posting guidelines.

3.  Please read the "Plug-ins and Viewers" chapter of the Rockbox Manual.  

4.  If you still have questions, you can search for "missing base WAD" and you will find many threads that answer your question.
