Glitch with wma
« on: July 24, 2007, 08:39:44 PM »
In my gigabeat, I have a video in .wmv. I don't want to convert it in .mpg to view it. Today, I pressed on it by accident and the WPS showed that video in wma. Weird... I can ear the audio of that but not the video. So, it's a glitch or not?

Chances are, the video's audio is encoded with wma.  Sounds like the wma implementation will play the audio streams of wmv-encoded files.

edit: Just mentioned this on IRC

Code: [Select]
20:46 < saratoga> krazykit:  yes linuxstb made it that way
20:46 < saratoga> apparently it was pretty trivial to do since all WMA files
       are inside ASF containers anyway
