You didn't mention what you did with the zip files other than download them.

What files are in "\.rockbox\doom\"?

What Chronon was trying to say was did you actually unzip the files?

Well, it does sound like you have the right files there.   :-\

doom1.wad or doomf.wad (I guess that's what they're naming FreeDoom now) would be the base WADs.

No, the filenames are alright.  But you should try to download those WADs again.  It looks like the download got corrupted somehow.  The doom1.wad should be 4,077,564 bytes = 3.88 MB, not 3.982 KB.  Those files are all much too small.  Consider that they contain all of the graphics and other media for the entire game.

Just as a note, in other languages, the use of comma and period in numbers may be swapped so that 3.982 means three thousand nine hundred and eighty-two.

Wow.  I must be having a bad day of it.  Hopefully I'll be a bit more on the ball next time I log in.  I should have noticed that.  Windows only reports two digits in the mantissa.

Those are the same file sizes as I have. . . I was hoping that a simple explanation like a bad download would explain this.  I'm afraid I have no further suggestions at this point.  Hopefully someone else can add some insight here.

What I want to know, is what message is the "same message" that our user is getting, since the first post in the thread is apparently referring to something outside the thread.

Also, he referred to his iPod as H:\, but the picture shows G:\, so I want to know if that's on his iPod or not.
