New wheel acceleration feature is awesome
Vortex:
--- Quote ---Wheel acceleration for e200. A general acceleration interface intended for use on any scroll target and by any code. A general interface to obtain data associated with most recently dequeued button presses and actions.

I just tried it out with a latest build and it is simply awesome. :D
Finally, the scrolling feels "natural", like when I turn the wheel faster it will also scroll faster through the lists.
Thanks for adding such a great new feature!
DefineByte:
Does it work on the iPod?
Llorean:
No, it won't work on the iPod without some work being done to the iPod wheel driver, as it doesn't provide the right information (if I understand correctly).

I'm new to Rockbox and to these forums. I've been playing with Rockbox on my 5th Gen iPod and have to say that in my mind this is the biggest issue with 5th Gen iPod. It takes forever to scroll through the database, and I've "only" got a 30 GB model.
I'll be watching this issue closely and will try Rockbox again when I can download a build that has better iPod touch wheel support that supports the list acceleration feature.
Vortex:
You can still use the less-awesome list acceleration feature that gradually accelerates scrolling speed while you scroll. If you try out different settings for the start-delay and acceleration settings you can still rather conveniently browse through your lists.
Well, it might not feel as natural as the Apple OS but I managed to get along with it before the new acceleration feature was introduced on the Sansa.
Right now I also find it rather frustrating to scroll through large lists on the Sansa because frequency scaling makes it lag big time, causing me to often scroll past the entry I wanted. But it seems I'm rather alone with my opinion.
