4th Gen Grayscale Undefined instruction repeatedly
krylon:
I have a 4th gen grayscale ipod 20gb. Â I've been using rockbox for about a week now and I keep getting
--- Code: ---Undefined instruction at XXXX
--- End code ---
where XXXX is 0005786C for this build.
I get this while playing music and just leaving it alone. Â I think on yesterday's build I was getting 0005797c. Â Before that 00057938. Â
Obviously I have tried multiple firmware builds. I've also tried reinstalling the bootloader tool here:
http://download.rockbox.org/bootloader/ipod/ipodpatcher/win32/ipodpatcher.exe
Any ideas? Â I have not modified this hardware in any way.
bzbire:
what is the last build that you have tried? I had the same problem but it went away when I installed the July 11th build... although I have had some other bugs now including not being able to enable the cuesheet support.
Febs:
Update to a current build. There was a fix committed yesterday for this issue.
(The fix was r13991. When Rockbox boots, look at the version number. If it is less than r13991, you should update.)
bzbire:
I went to that current build and it went right back to the same problem... as of now, I am going back to the July 11th build as that one doesn't crash :-\
This time it seems to happen either when I've had it on for over 30 mins or when I am multitasking on the system...
I generally use rockbox for about 2 hours a day so if you need me to test it daily for you to help resolve this issue, please let me know.
Llorean:
Now, did you download from the "Current Build" page or did you download a daily build dated today?
Also, what bootloader are you using?
