Ive searched google ect..

I have an 20GB Ipod photo/color ... and i cant get the booter to find the .rockbox..

I just cant find the root file..

Im using Windows Xp

can anyone help ?

Llorean:
1) There's nothing called a "booter." Please be specific and use the same terms as the manual so we have some clue what you're talking about. Do you mean the bootloader is giving an error message when you boot up, or is ipodpatcher giving an error message?

2) There's no mention of a "root file" in the manual. It specifically says to the root of the device. This means directly to the device, not in any folders.

If you're getting error messages, we require that you tell us the specific error message so that we actually know what's happening. We're not psychic.

nocturnal:
Sorry.. Heres Exact error on Ipod.

Rockbox boot loader
version: 1.1
Ipod version: 0x00060000
toshiba mk2006GALC
Partition 1: 0x0B 19030 MB
Loading Rockbox...
Error!
Can't load rockbox.ipod:
File not found
Hold MENU+SELECT to reboot
Then SELECT+PLAY for disk mode..

I honestly cant find where to put the .rockbox

Llorean:
Just extract Rockbox.zip straight onto your player. That's all there is to it. You don't "put" .rockbox anywhere. The manual doesn't say to put the folder anywhere. Please tell me, what instructions are you following that make you think you need to do something other than extracting rockbox.zip straight to your player?

nocturnal:
Im just drawing a blank... my brains now clicking to what you mean by player..

Do you mean IPOD folder...

I feel very stupid
