This appears to be true in the US, but isn't the case here in the UK.
Down is definitely On here, and Up is off.

Huh. That's very interesting. I wonder how unique that is to the UK. I just checked and the electronics we have here from Britain do indeed have their switches oriented as you say. However, Italy (and I believe France) appears to follow the same convention as the US.
In any case, it wouldn't be too hard for the end user to change the WPS code to make the switches operate in either fashion (since it only involves swapping references to images, not changes to the background image).

@auto123: Sorry, but I think the Sansa screen size is not enough to display a good definition for this theme. Maybe I'll try to make a modified version for players with smaller screens.

seani, the physical switches in vertical position generally works OFF=Down an ON=UP. And on horizontal position works OFF=Left and ON=Right.

I guess it's because it's harder to knock something upwards by mistake.

That would be perfect!. I think I'll try the gigabeat landscape patch myself and give it a spin.
