  i have one ipod nano 1gen and i installed rockbox but wend i tried to play ani song send a message (codec failure) or (codec error), i install good because i have installl before in other ipod 1gen and on this work very god but in mi ipod not, please help me, y tried restored bud is the same, dont work.

extract the _whole_ zip file to the player and make sure to overwrite the contents of the .rockbox folder.

Btw, searching the forums is usually a good idea -- this problem isn't uncommon.
