someone please explain the doom2?
« on: July 21, 2007, 03:47:38 AM »
hey so what's the difference of doom and doom2, is doom2 just a emulator or something and not actually another doom game. i got a wad file of goldeneye 64 for the gigabeat F20 and it says it requires doom2 to run it. if anyone has instructions of how to make this game work or a definition of doom2 it would be much appreciated

Doom2 was the sequel to Doom.

in order to play the other doom games you'll have to buy the disk at wal-mart or something like that. i have it, very simple to get working.

Or you can use FreeDoom as I do on my players.

I have a related question, I just got the Doom collector's edition with Ultimate Doom, DoomII, and Final Doom.  I have doom.wad and doom2.wad in my doom folder and plutonia and evilution in my addons folder.  This way I'm able to choose between doom2 and the final doom wads, what I really want to be able to do is choose between those and the original doom but it always loads doom2.  Is there a way I can make this happen?

When you start the plugin, select "Game" on the menu, and you should see both Doom Registered and Doom II as selections. Pick the one you want to play, then start the game.
