Do iPod remotes work with rockboxed iPods?

Hi. I am thinking of buying a docking station with a bluetooth remote for my iModded iPod. I'm running Rockbox and was wondering the remote with properly interface with the iPod, even though RB is installed? I would hate to have to revert to the default iPod software just to be able to use a remote

you can just boot into the ipod firmware when using the remote, this is done by rebooting and putting your iPod on hold before rockbox starts.

What would be the benefit of doing this, if I wanted Rockbox's interface to show up on the remote I'm using?

The benefit is, as you'd have realised if you'd visited the page I linked above, is that it's 99% certain your remote won't work with your ipod when it's running Rockbox code. It'll only work when it's running the original Apple firmware.
