Becasue I have my files in iPod_Control directory for original firmware playback and also copied in directory structure for rockbox and for backup...
I have 80gb 5g iPod so I have no problem with free space as my library is "only" 25gigs big...I just like my own folder and file name structure...But I dont want to rename all mp3s in iPod libray...What is even good for when I'd had my mp3 in F00-F50 folders?I just would like to take advantage of my directory structure and ID3tag database....And also left iPod library untouched....
But if you're using the database, then the file structure is irrelevant - you'll never even see it.

But I want to use both...That's my point...[/b[
I'm at a loss as to why you've bothered with the two copies of music - it'll quite happily work with the music files iTunes has loaded onto your ipod. You don't need the second copy.
