Help, my ipod is broked?

<< < (3/3)

Llorean:
Try charging your battery for a day, then doing it while it's still plugged in. It sounds like your battery is actually low then.

zonic:
ok, i have charged it for about 23 hours, tried to do combo while it was charging, tried to do when it wasnt, nothing is happening >
when it was charging, it would turn off, then back on with the very low battery sign,
when it wasnt charging it would just not turn on and a small flicker at 10seconds.!
help me please :(

GodEater:
This could be due to one of three things :

1) A faulty ipod cable not carrying the charge to the ipod properly.
2) A faulty charger / USB port
3) A duff battery / charging circuit in your ipod.

The first is probably the easiest to check if have any friends who also own an ipod (i.e. borrow theirs).

The second is also pretty easy to check - either change the charger (again borrowing another), or try using a different computer to do the charging.

The last one would probably mean having to return your ipod to apple.

Keep going - you are getting there, just very slowly :(

As you have stated, the condition has improved from my screen flickers for a bare milisecond or so, to when it was charging, it would turn off, then back on with the very low battery sign

The 'Very Low Battery' screen is a good indication that charging is in progress. Give it another straight 24 hours of charge (without fiddling) and see what happens then.

zonic:
thanks :) the charging is at 22hours so far, still uninturrupted
