If you get the very low battery warning then you battery is NOT charged. The apple firmware does not lie about this. I don't care what you *think* your battery was at - it's now in desperate need a long long charge - ideally from a wall charger.

Okay - pay attention to Llorean's post then.

No, sometime the Apple firmware lies about this (I've experienced it firsthand). But if a hold switch On/Off then holding Menu+Select for 30 seconds doesn't work, you need to charge (or try that a few more times).

Well the only time I've ever seen that "Very Low Battery" warning, my battery was indeed completely flat. So in my *personal* experience, the Apple firmware hasn't ever lied to me. :)
