it says that freedoom can be in place of doom2.wad
so i can use all the doom 2 wads on freedoom inplace of doom2?

in the doom directory?
and do i rename the folder doom2?

WADs go into /.rockbox/doom; there's no need to rename the folder.

It's in a zip in the extras page, if you extract it straight to your player preserving folders it'll work (much like many themes).

You do not need to rename anything, just choose Freedoom in the menu.

and for more wads for doom2, i just add an "addon" directory to the freedoom file?

You can't add a directory to a file. And there's no freedoom directory to add one to. Please just read the manual carefully.

You just select doom. Please read the whole section on Doom, it describes how to pick which "game" you play after launching it.
