quickly queue without erasing playlist

I remember there were some discussions about this problem but i can't find them. Excuse me.

Usually i don't let rockbox to erase the playlist on my X5 so it takes long time to insert / queue new tracks into the playlist without erasing the current one.

I would like to find a quicker way to queue tracks into the playlist without erasing the dynamic playlist.

If i want to insert / queue a track i have to search for it then long select and go into playlist and select queue next.

I know it's starting to be a feature request to have an option where i can just push only one button which inserts the selected track immediately but
i'm also opened for any advice how to organize my playlists to not erase the already queued tracks.

I also miss a feature which immediately starts the track aborting the now playing track instead of insert / queue / play next.

Please don't say i'm a lazy bastard who can't push 3 buttons instead of one. Sometimes it's really strange to queue 3 tracks while i just want to listen to music instead of pushing buttons.

If you know it sounds like a feature request, why don't you rephrase it so we have a better idea what you're asking for, instead of "new features that do this" like it reads right now?

ion:
Sorry, i thought i was clear.

I think it would be a good idea to add* the 'queue/insert next' feature for a button when the interface displays a track in the database or in folders/files view.

For instance when i want to queue tracks on my X5 i have to
- search for a track
- push long select to open the playlist menu
- push again to open the 'add to playlist' submenu
- step to queue and push select.
+ repeat steps above to queue other tracks

If there would be a feature assigned to a button it would take less time:
- search for track
- click the button to queue/insert it
+ repeat this for other tracks

I don't know how it would affect other devices but on the X5 the short select with the joystick does the same as the right click. The right click with the joystick could be the button which queues/inserts/etc the track.

* the exact decision depends on the usage statistics so i should start a poll about 'which insert/queue method do the users use most?' (insert/insert next/queue/queue next/etc).

Llorean:
So, you want to request a feature? Please post all feature requests in the proper place, the Flyspray tracker (after searching to be sure it's not a duplicate, and please check closed tasks too).

ion:
Well, primarily i didn't want to request a feature because i know it's not easy for the developers to waste time for every little stupid feature request.
At first i wanted to ask for advice how to use the playlists to shorten the time when inserting new tracks but keeping the remaining (unplayed) tracks in the playlist...
I know it's stupid but i just wanted to behave nicely :)
