need advice for settings to keep the battery lasts longer

<< < (4/4)

After playing for 4 and a half songs (various bit rate with shuffle mode), it showed "Undefined Instruction at 000578CC". After that, the iPod halted and stopped singing. This baby needed to re-boot.

After re-boot, I also tried to initialize and update database again. I could enjoyed for anther 5 songs before the same error code striked again (nearly the same time of usage before subsequent error)  ???

Note:
I re-installed with all the latest update of firmware and bootloader (today).
The database has been initialized and updated.
At the Rockbox boot screen, this is the version # 13950-070721.

Hold the fast forward button when you turn on your ipod to see the bootloader version (and a bunch of other messages).

The only message I could catch is ver 1.1

Well I got about 6 hours of playback this time without error and I was celebrating that updating the bootloader fixed it, then there it was again!!! "Undefined Error at 00057948".

Edit:  Oops that should be "Undefined Instruction at 00057948", thanks Llorean.

Llorean:
When reporting error messages please be careful to write exactly what it says, rather than simply trying to approximate it.

I tried installing Roxbox again today with version r14037-070728.
The performance is really superb, no hang, no crash and no problem with battery issue.

Thanks Roxbox team again  ;D.
