Not just your average "Data Abort"
« on: July 14, 2007, 09:39:22 AM »
Yep, I got a data abort screen, entire screen went blank (excluding my background) "Data abort at 400031EC" was the message. The backlight is stuck on and none of the buttons seem to be responding. Is there any way I can restart this thing before it overheats or should I just let it sit until the battery runs out  :-\

(by the way, I checked other threads but I didn't seem to find one with the exact same symptoms as this...sorry if this has been answered a million times)

Well, since we don't know which player you have, we can't really tell you which buttons to press.

Hold Menu+Select for iPods, hold down the Power button for 15 seconds for Sansas though, since those are the most likely suspects.
