Im very glad that Rockbox now works on an Ipod 80Gb Video. I Using it in my car via a dension ice link plus an sound transfer work perfect.
I know about some missing links with dockingstation from kensington and other similar hardware not functioning with rockbox.

In my case when I uses the controlfunctions on my wheel something is transmitted to the rockbox on the ipod cause it stops for a moment an then it plays normally.

My question:
Is it possible to record what command reaches the ipod in this case and then configure in rockbox even this to - may be - "next song"

Yes it's possible - someone just needs to do the work.

Neither difficult, nor "just some clicks away" - the protocol is documented, but no-one's even made a start on the necessary bits of Rockbox to take advantage of it. So more like "a lot of work, for very little gain in most developer's opinions".

I'd have a hunt and see if there's not one there already - I suspect there probably is.

Don't hold you breath though - as I said, most current devs aren't that interested in implementing it - so it'll probably be a long time before it is.
