Sansa radio
« on: July 14, 2007, 04:14:03 AM »
hello im new here and im wondering about installing rockbox on my sansa however the itrip car radio i bought said i needed the latest version of the sansa from sansaupdater to use the car radio

so my question is does rockbox support the car radio?

if i put rockbox on my sansa would the itrip car radio work or will it possibly shock the memory or what?

I don't know the accessory you are talking about, but it most likely won't work with Rockbox. You have to use the Original Firmware to use accessories with the Sansa (it's the same with the iPod).

Well, actually i'm not so sure. I dont think that the itrip would interact with the player. Wouldn't it just take the audio source and "beam" it out to the radio?

If that were the case, why would it need the latest version of the firmware? It was your mentioning that requirement that led to the obvious conclusion that it wouldn't work with rockbox.
