Settings don't save when shutting down H10 20 GB

I just got a used H10 20GB player and put Rockbox on it.

All is well, except when I change the time and LCD settings, then shut down the player, the setting changes aren't retained upon powering the device back on.

Is this a bug? Any known way of fixing it?

EDIT: Nevermind - it turns out that the USB cord has to be disconnected, and it saves fine as long as you keep holding the "Power" button.
