Image for use as slider progressbar

I was wondering if anyone that has a theme that utilizes a slider progressbar could donate the image they use.  I'm wanting to retool some themes I use as slider progressbar themes and just can't seem to find the right image, also I don't have photoshop so I can't really create my own right at this point.

If it's just for your own use, why not just take the image(s?) from the theme you like the look of currently?

In addition, there are any number of free image-creation programs out there, GIMP in particular as a Photoshop replacement.

Thanks for the info on GIMP, definitely good to know.  I haven't really seen a theme using a slider yet (on the ipodVideo wps page anyway), or I would have just grabbed an image here.

Most of the WPS's you've seen won't have this because it requires a patched build of Rockbox in order to use a slider instead of a bar.

Looks like that's the case; I guess I'll just have to hope that patch becomes more popular.  In the meantime I just had an interesting thought: I could just shrink the rockbox logo and use that, might look cool.

If I understand correctly, the patch is actually somewhat likely to get rejected. Rockbox apparently had a similar feature in the past (a slider progressbar, though not with an image) and it was removed.

Not sure what good a slider would do you anyway seeing as it replaces the progressbar. I guess you could just have a slider but it's kind of "different" from the regular progressbar.

To give you an idea of where I'm coming from I took the rockblocks wps's, took screenshots of them with the progressbar fully displayed and made that the new background image.  Then I had a scaled down rockbox logo navigate across the old progressbar as a slider.  I think it looks pretty cool personally.  No, it isn't really necessary, but man I love it!

I like the slider better than regular in some cases.

I am a huge slider progressbar mark. Though I have made quite a few themes they mostly just have different background and colors so I use the same progressbar image in all of them. I'll admit I'm not very imaginative.

Thanks for the image.  I'm slowly learning my way around Gimp and fooling with gradients and whatnot and that looks better than anything I'm coming up with.
