Sansa e270 file browsing?
« on: July 11, 2007, 06:53:40 AM »
Hi,

I'm new to rockbox, and came across a problem: I can't reach my music files from the file browser. The database finds them okay, but the entire directory in which they are located doesn't even show up.
This is because the MUSIC directory the original firmware looks in for music is automatically made hidden when booting up in the original firmware. I would say I just wouldnt use the original, but then I couldnt connect to my pc properly (plus I just want to use it sometimes).
So, can the browser be made to recognise hidden folders or do you have another idea?

please help

Set the file types setting to ALL.

It can be found in the quick menu or through the settings, for exact position check the manual.

You have 2 options. You can either set Rockbox to show all files, but this will clutter up the file browser. A better option is to unhide the "music" directory and then rename it (I use musica). The OF will actually look for music in all directory, but it will only hide the music directory.
