Database problems
codeking:
I also reinitialized the database several times, so I know the problem isn't that I didn't wait long enough for it to update. And when it was finished initializing, the final count was over 3000 songs, so I know I did upload the files to my MP3. And the files are tagged, because I searched through and still, no new songs. I'm completely stump.
PS: I'm using an iriver h340

This is weird. I checked the files, and some of the songs on the database are not on the hard drive, but they still play. tried doing disktidy, but it said incompatable version. (i just update rockbox) Hmmmmm. something weirds going on here. ghost songs in the database, what next? the database doesn't store songs, just the info, so how can the songs still be on there?
Llorean:
Hold Select, and choose to view ID3 info, scroll down to the bottom, and it'll tell you where the file is hidden.

I figured out the problem. For those of you who dont know how harddrives organize information, heres a brief explanation. At the beginning of the hard drive, theres a small file that tells the computer or other device the folders, the files and there names, and where the file data is stored on the hard drive. Well, for some reason, my hard drive's database is being update, but not the file data. Probably a glitch in vista with large batches of files. But thanks for all your suggestions.
