Hello everyone. Slight problem here. I just downloaded a current build from build.rockbox.org (the video ipod one) and I followed the steps to install the bootloader and i got a weird message after a brief flash of the rockbox logo. it says

at 00052E74.

I had Rockbox before but never had this certain problem. Any help would be so very much appreciated.

I've got the same problem with a 5.5G 30 GB Ipod Video.

linuxstb:
This appears to be a newly introduced problem with today's current builds.

For now, use an "archived build" - available via this page:

http://www.rockbox.org/daily.shtml

As I write this message, the "latest" archived builds should be fine.

Buschel:
Just added a bug report (FS #7418). This error came in with synchronizing to /trunk/firmware/system.c rev. 13832.

Same problem occured with 5,5 - 80MB iPod

The archived build seems to work fine!

Lets see what happens now - this is my first try with RockBox.

Edit:
It took me a while to find out how to come back to original mode - while the error screen is on, Windows does not recognize the USB device, so you can't access the iPod!
This is how:
1. usual reset (Menu + Select Button for some seconds)
2. While screen is still black: Hold switch > on (This has to be done before the apple shows up!)

Edit: oops, just realized this is exactly what the manual says under 3.1.3 "Starting the original firmware" .. just that there was no "Loading original firmware" message in my case..

RockBox is exactly what I was looking for .. great!
