Looking for a WPS coder.
« on: July 07, 2007, 12:49:27 PM »
I planning on making a few themes for the sansa e200 but I'm struggling to understand the coding side of things. ???

I'm hoping a coder can help me on my quest to make some themes. I plan on doing to art side of things. ;D

Download a theme you like and see how the author set up his wps.  That's how I learned.  ;)  And on a second note, I think there's a wiki page that has a listing of all the codes and their function.

Make sure to also grab a SIM if you do decide to give working on the code a shot. It's definitely intimidating at first, but if you know where you would like to position your graphics with a fair amount of certainty, then there's not much more to it than using the right tags. Like Gorilla said, use a WPS you like as a reference point, especially for the conditionals, as they can be easy to make a mistake while inputting.

Thanks for the tips. It just looks very confusing and i would rather make images then code. Another question is how would i display album art when the SIM's don't have that plugin installed?

Build your own sim with the album-art patch included.

I am good at WPS coding.  If you need help I would be glad to provide it.  I also have an e200 sim pre-built.

If you want to do theme images and then send them to me to write the WPS, that might work too.
