Rockbox Database in iPod

Hi, where is the database stored? I will have 2 databases when I install Rb right? The original one from iPod plus one for RockBox

yes. Unless you remove the Apple database (which you can only do if you stop using the Apple firmware) or don't create the Rockbox firmware (which you only can do if you don't use it, naturally).

thanks bro. found that the version 1.21 firmware on the ipod is a lot better for searching for tracks, but functionality for audio wise, rockbox beats it hands down. if only rockbox search and video support is better, i can totally make without the apple firmware

What's the problem with searching? You can define your own views in the database (which are actually searches) and the database is quite good at this. Just check the wiki for details about the database functions ...
