Help: my flac has died

<< < (2/2)

TeamHCN:
Disable EQ if you have it turned on (under the Sound settings). I find lossless audio tends to freeze a lot more when you have it enabled. I'm pretty sure if you do a search you'll find other posts on the same subject.

problems on ipod nano too... after playing back a .flac of 400 MB ... the song restarted at about 10 minutes... after that it wouldn't playback even mp3 files normally.. i hear a lot of screech and scratch sounds... and with the flacs same problem... the version was downloaded today... 13 July 2007 - r13863-070712

centipus:
same issues here...

just uprgaded to the latest build (i think) r13870 - 070713 on a 5g 60gig/64mb ipod. flac playback was working just fine until today. now any flac file begins to play, then skips ahead to another song after about 2 or 3 seconds, and repeats the process again. it just keeps skipping to other songs, and sometimes totally stops. mp3 playback seems to be doing just fine. no eq turned on, i haven't done anything with the database at all..

this is the first trouble i've had so far, been a rockbox user for around 3 or 4 months...i love it so far!

GodEater:
Any build from today should end 070717 - so you're several days out of date - try a current build and see if the same thing occurs.

pondlife:
...and of course, it's worth updating youir bootloader in case that's out of date...
