Multiple Directories for recording

I am in the process of making a patch to have multiple directories to record to.  I mainly use Rockbox as a voice recorder.  

All I have left is to allow changing of the directory after recording has started.  I need to be able to rename the "just recorded file" from the directory it was stored in to the new one.  I have worked out all the code, but I am stumped by not being able to change the filename.

Can anyone help?

I can give a copy of my recording.c file for you to look at if anyone is willing to look at it.

There already is a patch for this in the tracker (FS #7201)... though I wasn't able to apply it (I don't know, it looks like the author did something strange when creating the patch). But maybe you can contact him and/or look at his solution.
