JBRv2 battery and hd replacement

Greetings, my battery is dying and needs to be replaced on my juke box v2, was wondering if any one can point me to some diagrams/instructions on how to replace it, also thinking of upgrading the hd as 20gigs is get maxed out fast,

I know of one site that shows how to disassemble the Archos Jukebox Multimedia/AV120. It's not the same device, but the casing is the same as the JBRv2, so opening it should be the same.

Ok... i was able to figure out how to get the battery out...now i need to know where to get a new battery, never seen one like this before, also can i get a longer lasting battery? any help would be appreciated

You can also find many batteries on eBay and and you can search Google for PMPARAV300. They seem widely available and inexpensive.
However, before you replace the battery it might be worth it to clean the contacts on the battery and in the device. I found I didn't need to replace the battery after all. I used an eraser from a cheap promotional pen. It's more abrasive than a pencil eraser but not quite like sandpaper.

It's still always good to have at least one backup battery, especially if they become very hard to find later on down the road.

Note that lithium ion batteries degrade even while not being used. I've read that it's best to store them in the fridge at around 40% charge. Higher temperatures and charge levels increase degradation.
