Can somebody list the rockbox compatible hardware with the lowest in-line recording noise (with the best SNR for in-line recording)

Since the other post was hijacking the thread, lets continue discussing low-noise here.

One tip: go on ebay and search an iriver iHP120 or iHP140 - these are very well supported by rockbox and have optical in/out. Then go and buy a hi-quality mic amp with optical out.

If not what you want, get a good mic amp anyway (Chris Church of CHURCH-AUDIO has some relatively cheap ones).
