iHome and rockbox questions

Hello to all forum members,

I recently purchased an iHomme for my iPod 5g. At first I thought it is not rockbox compatible but later discovered that in some ways it is.
This is an iHome iH30. I have some questions about support with rockbox.

First, it's able to use audio out, meaning that when I plug the iPod into the slot of the iHome, the currently played music can be heard. Second, charging does work just fine if using the slot ; if the iPod is plugged in the USB port of the device, charging does not occur.
Third, the buttons which let's you control the Ihome don't seem to work with Rockbox. This is the area I wish to have questions in.

If any of you on this forum own and use an iHome accessory, do you have any information on what I should do to get the maximum out of my iPod with Rockbox? does the remote(which I did not purchase) work? Can it interface with the radio which is built into the iHome?
If not, is there anything I can do to improve support for the iHome?


Any answers are apreeciated in advance.

Rockbox works with the line out, headphone jack, and can charge.  Anything else won't work.
