Help a Noob! Uploading MPEGs
« on: July 02, 2007, 09:51:36 PM »
hey ive got rockbox installed and kinda got used to it
sometimes i can get a theme to work and ive got a few gameboy games on there!

ive been tryin to upload movies onto it but cos they're 700mb it takes too long and I only seem to have limited time in disk mode before my itunes cuts in, finishes updating (while still trying to finish uploading the mpeg) and then itunes cuts out disk mode before the movie finishes uploading!!!!  ???

any better way to upload movies or keep it in disk mode for longer?

thanks!!!!!!

EDIT: Sorry one more thing! I've been trying to install themes like that vista theme where album covers flip across the screen with no luck just the fonts and background show up but just plain bars for the "player" - do i need to get some evil G thing? and what is it!?

You could reset your default action for what windows does when you dock your ipod to nothing instead of loading iTunes, or you could just wait until iTunes finishes and then upload your movie (if iTunes can connect to your ipod then you can load something into it)though to be honest if your movie is 700+M then it's a safe bet that rockbox will have issues playing it.  I'm not familiar with that theme, but it does sound like something you'd use the EvilG build for.

Start itunes, go to options, ans set your ipod as a storage medium (I don't know what it's called in english).
Then you can use your ipod all the time to drag'n drop.
