Removal, serious help needed!

Hi I removed Rockbox from my iPod a while ago (the interface disappeared after I put it on my friend's ipod speaker system) so I checked it on my computer and removed the entire Rockbox folder from my iPod)  Now the problem is is that today my iPod froze on me and when I rebooted it, it goes to this message

Can't load rockbox.ipod:
File not found
Hold Menu+Select to reboot
then select+playfor disk mode

I've been doing that but it goes to the same message and when I connect it to my computer nothing appears on my desktop for me to get inside my ipod.

Ideas? Please?
