What is the best mp3 player for rockbox?

things that are most important to me are:
Battery Life
Wide Variety of WPS's
Alot of users = most support

I was hoping not to get an ipod video because of the price... but its looking more and more like my best option

i was gonna go with the h300.. but i can't find somewhere to buy one... nothin on ebay

the rockbox target with the best battery life is m5l (which can be quite hard to find) after that comes x5l, the x5 are still sold new IIRC.

is it likely that the ipod and other portalplayer targets will be optimized in the near future? 8 hours per charge is good enough to last me awhile... but more is better.. my iriver is giving me 30 min now :/
