Ipod Photo-color, question...
(1/1)
callmecowboy:
I have a rockbox'd ipod photo
and when i sort through my database it is slow, and i was wondering if anyone could help and maybe give me some suggested settings to make my music scrolling faster...
also is there a way to sort my music the way it is on normal ipod, like it is on my itunes and not by alphabet. And also How can i have it so the cross fade is song ends next song enters seamlessly. I have tried a bunch of different settings and none worked..Help would be greatly appreciated
;D

Also i seem to have a slight problem not too big of one and it really isn't a hinderence but it is annoying
Everyonce in awhile i go to start up a song and it goes to the song next to it and then i hit search back to go to it and it will skip it and go to the song before the song i wanted then i hit forward again and i get the song i want....does anyone else have this problem...?
so basically 1 is the song i want then there is 0 before 1 and 2 after 1 i click to play 1 it goes to 2 i search back instead of going to 1 it goes to 0 then i hit search forward it goes to 1 hope that helps explain it a little better

It would be much easier to read if you used proper punctuation.
To your first problem: If I were you, I wouldn't use the database at all, instead drag'n drop your music folder to your ipod (but that's my personal opinion). There is a patch in the tracker here http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/5377 that accelerates the scrolling. You'd have to compile your own build to include it.
I don't really understand your second problem.
The manual (link on the left side of the screen) explains everything about crossfading.
For your 4th problem, I encountered it too when I had an iPod. It happened very seldom and I didn't find any solution.

allright thanks man :)
I have found the sorting problem very frustrating, but a minor problem easily solved by just going back to apple os if it bothers me to much.
And i figured out the crossfading
So i figured out alot of things kinda on my own
and for my fourth problem i still have the problem but eh....i guess it is just something that happens...and i would drag and drop but once i put my music on i delete it from my computer to save space :) so im s.o.l on that

You can get your music back from your ipod to your computer - search google.
