I am fairly new to rockbox but i am learning things and started customizing wps and splash screen logos but i am stuck on a code i have been looking for, for a long time

I am trying to change some of the stuff on the main menu, for example i want to change files to something else and i want to get rid of the recordings option

can anybody help?? ???
this is my very first post and i am very impresed with Rockbox

you can't do that (unless you hack the sources of course). Customizable menus have been requested quite a number of times and there are even more strong arguments to not support them. Nevertheless there is a patch around (if you want / can patch yourself). No idea if that still works. Be aware that patch in this context refers to source patches, i.e. you need to compile yourself to use it.

If you only want to change the title of the entry, check the wiki for language files -- you can quite easily create a custom language file that changes the naming.

rockbox/firmware/export/config-ipodnano.h
remove (or comment out) the line:

I haven't looked at the menu code, but that should work.
