Can you use specific themes/WPS on different players?

I've got an iaudio x5 and have seen a very nice WPS but it's for the ipod 60gb.

What would happen if I tried to install it on my iaudio?
Or is there a way to mirror a theme so it works on a different player?

Any help appreciated.

It would likely look like crap. Great themes are often ported by artists to other players... you could give it a try yourself or wait and see if someone else does.

The screens are different sizes, so bitmaps would be in the wrong place, some parts would be off screen etc..

You can probably get a decent approximation by just scaling all of the images and the font size by an appropriate amount.

Look in the .wps file for the code.  The images (other than backdrop) will be in an appropriately named folder in the WPS folder.  The font is set in the .cfg file in the themes folder.
