Settings Menu Layout for Sansa e270
(1/1)
gc:
Hey everybody . . . I've got a new one for you.
I recently installed rockbox on my sansa e270 and everything works. Unfortunately last night as I was going to bed the backlight was bugging me when it activated every time I skipped a few songs. In a moment of bad judgment I decided to disabled the backlight. Right now when I turn on my player the scroll wheel lights up I can't see anything. I would turn the backlight back on but I can't find it. I really need some help with the menu layouts for the settings menu, followed by how to get to the backlight settings.
From what I remember the player opens in the settings menu and the "General Settings" in the second from the top. i think the next menu I need to get to was called "LCD settings" I don't if this would change anything but I'm using the black aurora theme which came with the original rockbox download and I downloaded the build that was current as of Saturday.
Thanks ahead of time for your help

It is much easier to edit the config directly in this case.
1. connect your player to the computer (in the original firmware, obviously)
2. open the file .rockbox\config.cfg on your player with a text editor. You might need a text editor that understands unix-style line endings, e.g. notepad2.
2. find the backlight setting in the file and change it to 'on'
3. close, disconnect and reboot.
