So ignoring the posting guidelines is showing good manners?  I thought Llorean's response was polite and well put.

As Llorean said, either wait for someone to do it (in their spare time for free) or bother to do it yourself.

Maybe the guidelines are too strict.

Quite possibly, but surely the thing to do there is to discuss with those in charge (not me) about changing them, rather than ignore them?

Llorean:
Anyone's free to object to the rules, and provide sensible argument as to why they might be better changed.

The appropriate means toward this end is to open a thread in the general discussion forum regarding the rule you have a problem with. Simply breaking the rule is not the appropriate way to get it changed.
