Rockboy Save Transfer

I wanted to transfer my rockboy save to my PC so I could put cheats in but I havent been able to do it. I know there is already a post like this one but the instructions are too confusing. Anyone know how to?

i do use BGB, and it´s perfectly compatible with teh Rockboy saves.
you just hae to organize your folders so the Rockboy emu and the BGB can understand that.
Renoming roms do the same name you ROCKBOY SAVEFILE will help you too.
the emulator is free and have even the option to CONECT two BGB emus over internet to tranfer pokemons inside games.

i am playing poke gold for 76 hours now(actually i hae the original game in box).
almost done 100%

I downloaded BGB and had the saved game files, but the extensions on the BGB save are .sav, .rtc, and .sn1. Rockboy saves are .sav, .rtc, and .rbs. How do I convert .sn1 to .rbs? Thanks for any replys.

you cant use snapshot saves(the ones from menu), just battery saves from the game(when you exit rockboy).
well its not harder than install rockbox.

you dont hae to transfer any files, just install bgb in the same dir you put your rom files and configure it to SEE the savegames into the /rockbox/rockboy dir
youll have to RENAME you rom files to the SAME NAME THEIR SAVEFILES, doing this will not make you lose them and will not change the relation of romname/savename inside rockboy.

Can you give me a step guide on what to do exactly? It sounds to like I have to load the rockboy files using BGB, but that doesnt work.

ok, with all due respect, you didn't understand my instructions on the other Rockboy post, but now all you people are getting too complicated for me with this BGB Stuff

nah, to sum up my tutorial, find the .sav file in the rockboy folder (a subfolder in the .rockbox folder on the root of your MP3), copy it, paste it on the desktop or wherever, and rename it to the name of the rom on the computer (example with Pokemon Gold- if Rockboy saves the game as POKEMON_GOLD.sav, and the rom on the computer is pokemon gold.rom, rename the rockboy save from POKEMON_GOLD.sav, to pokemon gold.sav.)

you just told him to do exctly the inverse i said
if you rename your SAVE file, rockboyu will not see it as the same as your game.
it must be the GAME ROM to be renamed bro.
