Do you mean 2G as in 2 gigabyte or as in Generation 2?

1. 2G means "2nd Generation" in these forums.
2. Please read and follow our posting guidelines (which also explain what "2G" means)
3. Rockbox currently doesn't support the piezo for clicking or anything similar.

You still haven't read the guidelines.  They preclude use of things like sry (and u and kno and...).  Please use full words

No, there is no easy way to enable it currently. There are some patches which deal with key clicks and the piezo, but I don't know what state they are in.

Left to rot - I haven't updated FS#5111 since November.  Ideally it could do with using the microsecond timer (ticks aren't accurate enough), but that causes other problems.  There was talk of using the COP to somehow produce more accurate timing, but I can't remember the details.

obo: Doesn't the piezo rely on COP usage in the Apple firmware? I think I remember reading something along that line some time ago.

Can anybody enlighten me on this? Or it all a load of dingo's kidneys?

Not that I know of (although I don't know much about the OF) - the driver just writes various values to an address - it just needs to do it fairly quickly (i.e. on and then off again) to make a "click" sound.
